STUDIO ABOK / EMI CLOCK
Privacy Policy
Emi Clock is an app developed and provided by Masayuki Koba under the name “Studio Abok”. This policy explains how information is handled in this app.
Last updated:
Local data
Clock settings, alarms, photo viewing history and cached weather and battery information are stored on your device. Some settings and cached information are shared locally with the app’s widgets. The app does not include advertising, behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not sell personal information.
Location and weather
With your permission, the app uses your current location to request weather from Apple WeatherKit. Location is used for weather, not advertising or tracking. Coordinates are not stored in widget data or sent to a Studio Abok server. Requests to Apple are subject to Apple’s privacy practices. You can change location permission in your device settings; weather features may then be unavailable.
Photo backgrounds
On iPhone and iPad, the app reads only the photo you select using Apple’s photo picker, without requesting access to your entire library. A resized copy is stored locally for the background without copying the original location metadata. The app does not upload this background photo to Studio Abok, CloudKit or other devices. You can delete the saved photo in the app’s background settings. Apple may download a selected iCloud photo, and device backups may include local app data according to your settings.
iCloud achievement records
When iCloud is available, achievement records are synchronized through an Apple CloudKit private database. These records contain an achievement identifier, collection identifier, record identifier and achievement date. The app also handles an iCloud account identifier to keep accounts separate. Detailed photo viewing history and clock settings are not synchronized through this feature. Records can be used on your devices and by Studio Abok apps authorized to use the same private container, and are not published to other users.
Purchases and notifications
Apple processes in-app purchases. The app uses StoreKit to verify and restore purchase entitlements; Studio Abok does not receive your payment card details. Alarm notifications are scheduled locally through the operating system after permission is granted. Notification permission can be changed in device settings.
Bluetooth and CO2 sensors
On iPhone/iPad, with permission, the app receives nearby compatible CO2 sensors’ Bluetooth advertisements. It handles CO2 readings, device identifiers, names and models, device-provided times, battery and transmit power, receipt times and signal strength. No pairing or sensor connection is required. CO2 features do not use location. Readings and history are not sent to Studio Abok servers, CloudKit or other devices.
CO2 history is cached locally for 24 hours after receipt. Old records are removed at launch, on receipt and during periodic foreground checks; while suspended or terminated, removal waits until launch or resume. Known devices, sensor selection, trial expiry and notification suppression state remain local. The device-local 14-day trial starts with consent, collects no payment details and does not renew or charge automatically.
Saved CO2 data is shared with widgets on the same device. On iOS/iPadOS 26 or later, an installed CO2 widget and active access allow a Live Activity and background reception within OS limits. Sensor names, readings and receipt times may appear on the Lock Screen and supported iPhones’ Dynamic Island, visible to anyone viewing the screen. Ventilation notifications are local and require permission. Bluetooth, notification and Live Activity permissions can be changed in device settings. watchOS does not receive CO2 data.
Support and this website
If you email masayuki@studio-abok.com, Studio Abok receives your email address, message and any attachments, and uses them to respond and resolve the issue. Do not send passwords or payment card details. Support correspondence is retained only as needed for support and applicable obligations, and is not used for advertising. These static pages use no analytics, advertising, cookies or external fonts. The hosting server may record ordinary access logs such as IP address, request time and requested URL for operation and security.
Retention and your choices
Local data remains until it is deleted or the app is removed, subject to operating-system backups and restoration. Removing the app does not necessarily delete iCloud achievement records, device backups or support correspondence. Manage iCloud and backups through Apple’s settings. For questions or requests about access, correction or deletion of information handled by Studio Abok, contact the address below. We will explain the options available, including data managed by Apple.
